Can we opt for Vintage / Secondhand?
An ave £3k per watch, so:
1) JLC Memovox - either with a classy black dial, or a funkier style 70's case.
2) Omega Speedmaster 125.
3) IWC Ingenieur 3521.
4) GP gyromatic hf (preferably no date) in SG.
5) Enicar Sherpa GMT / Traveler.
Other than swimming / diving I can't think of a location or pastime that 1 of these wouldn't suit.

It is better to buy 1 good watch than 5 mediocre ones
The ones you mentioned have almost no horological value. If the idea is to definitely buy 5 I would suggest JLC as a watch for suit (Reverso 1931 or Master ultra thin), any mechanical grand seiko for casual purposes (Snowflake) or Rolex and 3 quartz watch...

They have historical pedigree, but not horological value
The only real exception is the Omega. It has a wonderful caliber 1863. I do not mean the the watches you mentioned are low quality. They are good robust watches, but that’s all. The Paul Newman Rolex is more a symbol than a watch.
