Mr Journe is for me the greatest watchmaker of our time, his inspiration comes from Breguet, Berthoud, Daniels.
And with this kind of historical inspiration, on chronometry device I think he is the master.
(and I think that for the same reason he is not that good with chronographs which were from another era)
That said, if you had a Breguet pocket Tourbillon and a Breguet pocket Resonance, would you sell one?
I think not, both are device thought for precision, and now for watchmaking beauty, both are symbol of Breguet's art, same for Journe.
Journe started with these too, they are the basis of Journe, no one has done a "remontoir d'égalité" in a wristatch AFAIK, and the same for the Resonance. None of them is "better" than the other.
Tourbillon is understandable, Resonance is magical and has kind of mystery. And you definetely got the most emblematic colour combination zith platinum and grained yellow gold dial imho. Both are beautiful.

this Resonance has been serviced and it's not that difficult to wind. It's just a matter of how use to it you are. Though I think I will have a hard time to set the time when I get older...haha
I'd keep the Tourbillon and sell the Resonance

inorder to have enough fund for the gyrotourbillon. For the general public, I would need two set of these to get the Gyro...it's way over price and oversize :-P

I like both the look :-) The tourbillon is incomplete , with no original paper and manual but has the replacement paper. It also has a chip on the crystal which can be fixed easily during servicing. So yes, it will need to send for servicing at one point....

The key to me is if you need two time zones. If not, then the tourby has so much more to offer. If instead it is more of a concept decision for uniqueness and icon, then th resonance. I for one prefer the latest resonance since I overcome the second time ...

My view is that I would choose the resonance hands down. It is the iconic journe, the complication is amazing, and when factoring the extras (including recent service)... it would be the definitive choice for me. OpC

As I am a Resonance owner myself, but it is the iconic Journe. Also just in terms of aesthetics I like it better.

I think one more factor to add is the availability/rarity of both watches ? If the tourby is rarer, that ups the acquisition desire to own it. Assuming you like both the resonance and tourby just as much. Perhaps the fact that you even mentioned it here i...

and seeing how the two dials are totally synchronized on the Resonance, it would have to be my pick. It's just an amazing dial! Tourbillons don't have the same cachet for me as it once did. The full package seals the deal IMO. Best fernando
