Horological Meandering

Universal Genve (one of my favorite brands) recently released the Nina COMPAX tribute chronographs. I’m really amazed with this news, even though I don’t know the prices I’m sure that I want one. Movement: Restored Universal Genève Caliber 281, manual. 36...  

And indeed those straps rocks!!

They are being released in two sets of three and the price for a set of 3 watches is CHF 135,000 excluding VAT or taxes. Hopefully the follow up releases will be in stainless steel and not gold and most probably won't have grand feu enamel dials either wh...

Yes, very expensive toys.

As much as they might be close to the historical originals in my humble opinion it goes against the spirit and grain of UG to simply rehash what it there. They used to stand for novelty and innovation, not retro. But I see how from a private equity point ... 

The originals will always be better. Without any doubt!

But I assume they’re going to be very very expensive.
