All of them...

Basically all the major large brands are trying to design their cases to use less gold than before. For instance, if you feel a Lange Timezone from a few years ago and compare it with the current version, you'll notice the current version is much lighter, and that's because the case has much less gold/platinum in it than before. But I'm not trying to single out Lange. Every brand is doing it. Also, notice the movements are getting easier to make, bigger pieces, fewer pieces, and fewer sharp inward angles on the plates to make the anglage and hand decoration easier and less time consuming. We've got a post on the Patek Philippe movements that are designed in a way that makes them easier to finish.

Sharp inward angles

About a month ago this was a great post www.watchprosite.com Sharp inward angles are probably the most appealing to many of us cause this separates real haute horlogerie hand finishing from the more industrial approach. As far as I know it’s also ...

Awesome

I still can’t believe I missed these... Anyways, it would be nice to see more manufacturers offer time only pieces with ultra high quality finishing instead of putting the product cost into complications. I’d rather have amazing finishing like that than a...

Because the sharpness of that beveling, and that interior angle, look too good to be true 😍😍😍

msg me on instagram and I can show you a photo of what it looked like in camera :)

like any photographer I shoot in raw and then have to make some adjustments to correct the white balance and exposure etc for the final image, but no, nothing about the beveling or interior angles is photoshopped or retouched, it is exactly this sharp and...

I recognize a double expertise; the person who did the polishing has done absolute great job. The person who made this photo is also an incredible artist. Double thumbs up

thank you very much!

Love this. Is there any brand that offers an inhouse movement with sharp inward angles in the <20k or even <10k bracket (used/grey)?

Chopard LUC and Parmigiani do lovely finishing but no inward angles. VC don’t do it in their 56 line. Lange don’t. Curious to hear if anyone has any suggestions.

Wow, Beautiful Hand Craftsmanship!

And i agree, if someone is going to try and claim they are 'the best' or some type of 'Holy Trinity' collection, all top-tier manufacturers should apply the very best finishing work on ALL their timepieces. Sold all but one cherished vintage Patek Phllipp...

A very nice inward angle in the photo!

And yes, Patek Philippe is making softer convex and concave anglage with no sharp kinks. Furthermore, all the watch brands are designing cases with hollowed out sections to reduce gold volume! So while the cases are getting bigger because people are trend...
