Horological Meandering

Absolutely!

At home, I have tools to adjust my strap.  If I really need to.  This rarely happens.  But when I'm traveling to Singapore, Taipei, or any of these "warm" countries where one goes from air conditioned coolness, to hot outdoors and back and forth all the time, sometimes a quick fine adjustment system would work really well.  Rolex does a great job here, as many of their models made in the past 15 years have this fine adjustment mechanism (especially those with an Oyster bracelet).  On strap watches, sometimes a hole difference is too much, so I don't bother.  Plus, if I'm outside, walking, I don't seem to stop to change a hole.

I guess I'm especially accustomed to fine tuning tightness - I get to tighten my belt in 6 milli meter increments thanks to my Roland Iten belt buckle!
