A massive surprise!
Madonna and I coincidentally share the same birthday in August but today I received an unexpected early birthday present from a fellow purist.
I had seen his Casio G Shock Oak a few weeks ago and was highly impressed by its lightness, wearability and stealth looks. The fact that it resembled Audemars Piguet's iconic watch did not in any way influence my attraction to the watch (no kidding! 
)
) This may be an uncommon watch in this forum and arguably the least expensive ever to be posted but for me this watch will always be a special as I have never received a watch ever as a gift and I remain gobsmacked that a fellow purist would not only remember my birthday but be thoughtful and generous enough to present me with this gift.
Thank you watchprosite for allowing me the opportunity to have met some wonderful people over the years, many of whom have become my friends.

10 years ago I would not had taken a second glance at, for example, Seiko. I remember seeing this out in the wild and was awestruck. So simple, and pleasant to look at from afar and in pictures, but when seeing in person, wow.
