I do not believe in that term either, and dare I say for watch enthusiasts in general. If one wristwatch, a small battalion of timepieces, or even an entire division of watches is not enough, how can there ever be a final watch. A myth in my view, with the exception of the examples you had underlined (adding in those requiring an immediate current asset boost!). 😆 Either you buy another because it is different, or you buy because you like the style of the brand and want more (focusing on those that buy to wear of course!).
