I share exactly the same sentiments as you do as I would not have entertained a Seiko or a Casio even 2 years ago but now they are among my favourite watches and share the same watch box as my Patek and Moritz Grossmann. Remove the differing price points from the equation and the relatively pedestrian movements of the Casio Oak and the Presage and these watches are highly attractive, accurate, reliable and watches that provide the same feel good factor. And at the end of the day, this is what matters most. Some may contend that the feel good factor provided by owning a Patek for example exceeds that of a Casio Oak. I beg to disagree having owned many Pateks in the past, These days I buy a watch for the watch itself and not the brand but I am probably in a minority here.
