Hello Everyone, hope all is fine. Here’s a question: If you could only have one watch to keep, what would it be? It doesn’t have to be a watch in your collection currently. Aspirations are more than welcome as they drive the hobby. I pondered hard and sur...
Ok, if I had two guns on my head, and that I was forced to choose... Then... I would choose the guns. ))) More seriously, I think this one: There is something very romantic to end with the watch which started all, in my love for watches... ...
For me it would have to be a dive watch, not only for water resistance but also for lume and the bezel as a 60min timer and to take daily abuse. In the current state of my collection it would be a hard choice between my pam25 or my searambler.
I can dress it up or down, it looks good on a leather, rubber or bracelet. It is water resistant enough. There really just isn't something it can't do! I've had mine since 2003 or 2004 and it is still, by far, my most worn watch.I absolutely love it. ...
Love it. I had the privilege to handle this piece only once at the AD. It costed a bomb but I couldn’t put it down. It is the most Breguet of Breguets in my mind.
Good question. I think, for me, a rose gold Seamaster trilogy piece, if it exists. Or a SM300 heritage in gold, with a black dial, if it exists, with a rubber strap. Ooo that will be my end-all piece. This piece I got recently kinda fits the spec too. If ...
… always love the watches we buy but some watches inspires us a deeper connection. It’s like a magic we discover in some watches which make them very special to us. The CdV is one of those timepieces no doubt. Keep enjoying it so much and let’s see which ...
Indeed, perfect one watch. I miss my old kermit. It’s traded away and it could have been my only piece. Oddly, I just thought of an analogy. A good wife/girlfriend is only appreciated when they are gone, and one looks back to realize how good they were. W...
What would be the criteria for making the decision? The watch I love the most? My grail? …but does it have to be practical for most situations? Versatile? Robust? These criteria can bring conflicting answers. A compromise between these criteria may also n...
But then the options will tend to be too practical such that the choice becomes an appliance more than a source of joy. In my mind, I initially blurted out Sub! But then I say to myself, that would be like giving up on life, ain’t it? So I go for the watc...
How does one find one piece which is beautiful, versatile, classic? No wonder so many chose Rolex! For me it will be a watch that I don't yet own, probably not even in by top 5 of the wish list given my current collection. But if we are talking about one ...
Hi I know lots of people are going for robust divers or similar, but thought I'd take a different approach. Might not be the most robust or the most versatile, but would give me lots of pleasure. I'd have to go for my grail watch Photo credit Art. ( Thank...
It should come with bracelet, screw down crown and caseback, has date (just in case i need it), good legibility, and comfortable (not to thick or wide). And has lume even if it minimal. So this one (or if IWC are not stupid , the new incoming Ingenieur) :...
But I would gladly have all of my trouser pockets altered to carry this treasure. I'd also need two bodyguards to make sure it stayed on watch would cause me to give up wristwatches forever. Oh well, at least I can dream. Great weekends Kurt ...
. . . Black Connie. Impractical, but then, neither is true love. 😌 From all the watches in the world? Maybe this: PP ref 3939. Tourbillon. Steel, one of one. 33.3 mm. I even had it on my wrist once. ...
