The tenth anniversary . . .
. . . of my first Karree perpetual . . .
. . . will be coming up in three weeks. I was just looking over receipts from my purchases over the years, and apparently I placed a deposit in February 23rd, '02, and paid the balance on March 1st, '03. This was neither my first Glashütte nor my first Karree, but it was - and still is - the watch that best holds my affection and attention. Even after having to send it in twice during the first year of ownership (first for regulation, then for calendar issues), I bonded with it like no other watch before or since.

but I also love sporty and there aren't many sporty perpetual...the new AP ROO in titanium fits the bill, maybe the IWC but not many more :( I have 3 more years to get one..! Yours my friend, Andy.

Ten years is a good stretch of time to live with a watch. It is certainly enough time to tell the keeper from the walk-away. Even if none of my better watches has been with me that long. Ten years is the time that I bought my first "expensive" watch ago. ...
