The tenth anniversary . . .
. . . of my first Karree perpetual . . .
. . . will be coming up in three weeks. I was just looking over receipts from my purchases over the years, and apparently I placed a deposit in February 23rd, '02, and paid the balance on March 1st, '03. This was neither my first Glashütte nor my first Karree, but it was - and still is - the watch that best holds my affection and attention. Even after having to send it in twice during the first year of ownership (first for regulation, then for calendar issues), I bonded with it like no other watch before or since.

. . . a Camille Fournet strap, Arthur - that was the grey Karree perpetual . . .
. . . which has since had a replacement, similarly in grey lizard, from Attila Aszodi Designs.
The strap on this Karree is a replacement (good eyes!), but in cayman, also from Attila's atelier.
