Laureato has everything to be successful
Different sizes with the same quality.
The argument is always the same, too close to nautilus and RO, but even though I agree as much as regard the lugs, at the same I have to say that there are only 2 ways to design the integrated steel bracelet.
One with a straight line, like RO, the other one with a curved line like nautilus.
Maybe a third might be with a mixed straight and curved, but I'm not a designer.
I suggest everyone's criticizing the watch for his too lookalike shape, to have a look at it live.
You'd be surprised how different those watches are.

Yes I did try the 42...
...but I can't compare it with RO 15400 since I did not try this latter. However I must admit that the 42 mm was indeed wearing a bit large on my wrist as probably most of watches of this size : not only I have a small wrist but also my eyes are more used...
You're absolutely right
Because the ones you mentioned have no integrated steel bracelet. That's why 15400 fits big (ridiculous movement compared to the case, looks like a fake...but it's real)
Here's the thing about the Laureato
It looks beautiful. The critiques about it being a pastiche of the RO and nautilus would only be valid if the disparate elements didn't come together into an artful whole. Here, they do. Nice pictures and write-up, btw!

I really like a lot of what GP do and really think they deserve much more credit and respect then they seem to get for what they produce. If I hadn't gone for a VC Gen1 Overseas(with a GP base movement) I would of searched really hard to find a nice Laure...
VC Overseas is a very nice watch too but...
