The bracelet is very similar to IWC ingenieur (previous generation, ref 3239) bracelet.

I see the similarity with the bracelet from the Ingenieur. I’m generally not a huge fan of the Evo3 line as I find them quite big. But this one seems to do the trick. Doesn’t feel massive. And the dial looks quite nice. The famous GP grey blue. I’ll post ... 

And this is perhaps the best finished quartz movement that I have ever seen !!

: ) I don’t see myself going on a quartz buying spree anytime soon. But this one is special and I thought it ticks 2 boxes for me … evo3 and quartz. And you know me … I like ‘em like my steak… rare. ☺️

I’m curious as well as to how I like it. Seems to fit well enough. Good to have some variety… says the guy who has more GPs left and right 😅

The asking price was to impresssive 😁 for me, something like 6K euro. I hope you did better but if not, still a great watch !

Yeah, MSRP was USD 11,000 One was sold on the secondary market at about € 9,000 not very long ago. So they are definitely a collectors item. I promised the seller I would keep the price to myself. And we also had a complicated trade etc etc. So yeah, I’m ... 

11,9k CHF + VAT So CHF 12,733 or so in 2010 ...  

I don’t think polished but agree that there is more wear on it. I think good price too.

Simply excellent! I spent years trying to track down one of these, no joy unfortunately. Never understood those with a mechanical only view. Quartz has its place and this is as good as it gets. This and the large date/moon phase/power reserve the best of ... 

Keep searching. Took me a few years to find one. The challenge is that there are very few posts about the 80188. I plan to change that. It also has an added benefit (for those looking for one) to “chum the water a bit”. So folks that have it may consider ...
