Girard Perregaux: Openwork

Yeah, that’s awfully pretty! Like it in the Laureato too, earth to sky but especially the rose gold version. I don’t know why but open-worked also seem to hold more stable pricing than some of the high complications, perpetual calendar, equation of time etc. I probably shouldn’t spend the asking pri

Girard Perregaux: Tourbillon

Interesting how Icon’s get defined. For most brands it’s a model within their collections, AP/RO for example. In the case of GP, I’d make the case that it’s this movement architecture even more so than say the Laureato again for example. How many brands can you name are recognized for their movement

Girard Perregaux: Traveler

Very nice piece, case & bracelet much like the Arguably more practical too, most of us have little if any need to track 24 time zones. Other than this Traveler, GP hasn’t done much with GMT’s. Agree with others, it’s a lovely dial color. Gonna look great with a dark suit! I haven’t heard the alarm.

Girard Perregaux: GP

Thanks, amanico. Good to get perspective from fellow aficionado’s. I’ve had a high regard for GP for over 30 years despite them not enjoying the attention some other brands receive, although I kind of like that they fly under most peoples radar. They hold their own against all the upscale names, inc

Girard Perregaux: Better pics

Enter text The Hermes is fun. Nice Vaucher movement (Parmigani Fluerier) used by Richard Mille amongst others. Nothing like a bit of diversity……🙂

If I was presented the opportunity for one in great condition like yours, It’d take a lot of restraint not to jump on it! But I do already have an Evo 3 and unlike you with multiples of a subset within a collection, I’m inclined toward a 1966, maybe a dual time or an equation of time for representat

Girard Perregaux: Laureato

Wonderful thing about the watch world is the diversity of personal taste & style that makes it so interesting. I’ve owned two modern Laureato’s, black ceramic and Titanium/rose two tone (don’t anymore), but still prefer these and the Evo 3. There’s just something about the raised profile of the cent

Girard Perregaux: WW.TC small link update:

Finally received the small link from the ref # 2598. GP US had to order it from Switzerland. Removed one full link and replaced with this small link….perfect fit! Finally, my is wearable on daily basis again. Big thanks again to you Marc, really appreciate your assistance with this. Wouldn’t have h

Some interesting comments, for sure! No accounting for taste, I suppose. I’d far rather see the date at the 12 or 6 position , much prefer that over 3 or even 1:30 and 4:30, especially if it’s a big date and GP’s big date implementation is technically excellent. Same for movement. Not seeing how the
