Hi friends,

Been a busy few days (always this way at month-end). Hope everyone is doing well.

Here is a watch I have not worn

as often. The 38 mm Traveller II ref 4940. This is a little gem that has a GMT and mechanical alarm. I like this iteration as well with the Breguet numbers and the GMT time (at 12 o’clock) to also be in black. The GMT function is a also a jumping GMT.

You will notice that the dial is texture and the inner dial is lacquered and the outer dial is machine turned. This gives the dial depth and it shows it in natural sunlight even more.

Nice use of color as well. The stepped box sapphire gives this piece a lovely 360° view.

At 38 mm, you will notice that this is not a small watch. It’s all dial. And has long curved lugs. This is one of the best balanced watches in my opinion. A lot going on but still all in harmony.

I have 4 variants of the ref 4940. This one and also the solid gold one, the salmon dial one and the champagne dial one. If you guys are interested to see the other variants, let me knownim the comments.

If one is thinking of getting a watch from the GP Macaluso family ownership period, this would be a wonderful one to get. And not expensive either. The mechanical alarm is an added treat to set and listen to the buzzzzzzz and feel the vibration.

I’m using this grey suede strap for the first time and I quite like it.

Kitty was having a drink and it was an opportune time to get her into the pics.

Do share some of your GP wrist shots as well and have a good weekend ahead ☀️ This message has been edited by patrick_y on 2023-08-04 21:46:19
