I've always wanted to go to Romania! My first roommate in college was from Romania and he was a wonderful individual, with great vales, I learned much from him. I can't wait to travel again!
Thanks for her... and me...

It was not only a double ;-) As I do things the best I can, especially for my daughters, there were actually 18 gifts, but also 18 cards with on each one, a photo of each year of her existence and a text that I had written (18 tips / suggestions from a da...

I had a little house party for my 60th and I opened 1 each 1982 of the five Bordeaux first growths plus Petrus. The Margaux and the LaTour were my favorites. Enjoy
Ah Ch. Margaux. Very young vintages to drink now, but how were they?
By: emcquillan : November 30th, 2020-21:42
I recently had a 2000 Ch. Margaux and it was still a bit tight. Not singing yet ... perhaps in another few years. I’m patiently sitting on my 2005’s 09’s and 10’s and would love to know what you thought. How long did you decant for before trying? Was one ...
Very similar my favourite vintages drinking now are

1985, 1989, 1990, 1995, 1996 and 1998. 1998 right bank only. I’m also drinking some 2000 Chateau, but most are still too young. Some have hit their mark so it’s a bit of hit and miss.
Been drinking 85, 86 Lynch Bages

Solid! But I guess my palate is not as refined as I seem to prefer slightly younger compared to the late 60s to late 80s.
It’s all subjective. And wine evolves which is so much fun.

I remember in 2012 drinking 2009 Pontet-Canet as soon as my Futures arrived. After 4 hours in the decanter the wine was spectacular. One of the five greatest wine experiences ever. My lips were literally reverberating. I was shocked and blown away. Not 20...
That's quite interesting!

I actually love the 2009/2010 Pontet-Canet and trying to get more bottles when I can! So you are saying in 2012, this was actually singing and now you think it's "too early" and will need another 15 years? How does that work? Either way, I also enjoy/can'...
Amazing! Glad you agree
By: emcquillan : December 24th, 2020-21:23
For sure 2009 and 2010 are budding legends and 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019 will take a long time to age and will be stars, but 2000, 2001 and 2005 Pontet-Canet before it became famous are very underrated wonderful wines. Glad you enjoyed it
Great vintages!
By: GirlAndHerWatches : December 2nd, 2020-13:39
I wish it was more readily accessible so that we all don't have to hold onto the younger vintages. Would love to try the 09, 10 now!
