I have not paid much attention to the Resonance.
Much too reserved in my emotions about not being able to attain a CB Bleu. Well, the movement does not disappoint!
I think we would all urge you to look beyond the CB.

Resonance always seemed to be a little hocus pocus in my highly unscientific mind. I have my doubts but I’m certainly glad it exists and is there for the collector’s who want it.
I can only offer a sample size of one, and from that it would appear to be a pretty consistent party trick.
But you are of course right in your last statement. The joy here is in there being something for everyone, and all of us taking a slightly different path.

I can only say that my ownership has been stress free, with all four Journes.
And as Christian and Spangles point to below, over the years reliability has improved significantly.

I too am expecting greatness from the new iteration. I just wish it would be 1/2 or maybe 1/4 of the price!
That’s a very fair point of clarification Christian (and Spangles below) re it’s temperament across iterations.
Much of the issue with adjustment does seem to be on earlier pieces, although I don’t believe it was solely confined to those pieces. And in all cases and at all times, I’m a big fan of the CS too. Maybe the most underrated Journe.

FPJ Resonance captured me as well years ago, when I was a 90-hour-per-week trainee hardly making ends meet. That fascination is forever young.
It’s a great thought, “that fascination is forever young” if I interpret it properly.
Did you ever acquire one? It might seem that the watch would come with high expectations given the association you note with a time in your life.

.. but i remember well the fascination with the chronometre a resonance and in general with FPJ's timepieces. Although I came close, I actually never acquired one of his creations, and yet the fascination for those watches is just as it was.

All opinions are subjective of course. Hopefully the CB will come soon. That is in itself is enough Journe and is hard to beat,
