chronometre a resonance 45/99
Dear Mr Journe,
I acquired the Chronometre a Resonance NO.45/99 from Mr Schindler in Zermatt.
It is the second time the "remontoir" has fallen off.
The first time it was sent to your workshop through the good offices of the Bijouterie Schindler and after lenghty discussions you agreed to repair it free of charge. I am still wondering why it was a matter to be discussed, but lets forget that for the moment.
Now, it is the second time. What do you suggest?
Sincerely yours,
C.Mayorkas

Hi C. Mayorkas, Best you contact Montres Journe directly. Their email is: info @ fpjourne .com (please remove the spaces first). Just curious, what do you mean the remontoir has fallen off? Guess you mean the winding crown at 12 o'clock. Sorry to hear you...

Thank you for your prompt reply. To be a child, in my eyes, isn't an insult. I still apologise if you felt offended. If I have run into one of the "lemon or 2 in the batch that sneaked out of the assembly line" - to quote you- I hope that the reaction of ...

"remontoir" simply means winder, i.e. the winding crown of a watch. What we often call a remontoir is just the shortened version of "remontoir d'égalité", which indeed regulates the flow of energy from the mainpring to the escapement. A friend o...
