Winter Wonderland...
what happens when 6 i8s meet 6 M2s on snow? Fun is on.
It's great BMW organizes such Drive on Snow event. It gives owners/drivers a great learning experience exploring the functions and capabilities of the car, with the right tires, of course.
Also learned the braking distances with different speeds and how the electronic nannies work on and off, DTC (Dynamic Traction Control), DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) etc and how it interacted with snow.
It's fun to see rear wheel drive M2s spinning and not moving much while the all-wheel drive i8 goes.
Next day was high up in the 2800m elevation, going up/down slopes playing with buttons never used before, like the HDC ( Hill Decent Control) and let the car do the driving.
Slaloms. Figure 8 and 180 degrees reversing with rear wheel drive is such fun!
At the end of the day, enjoy nice spa at the Aqua Dome resort, clothings optional...oops.
Now where to get winter tires for my i8 in US

There are Perks from AM too but it's way too expensive...
Their Drive on Snow is $10 grand a pop, additional guess (not driving) is $2K, for a 3 day event. However, I think the level of quality must be different...you have to get what you paid for. BMW is more reasonable Rgds Raymond
I can imagine it's very intensive!
I went to the BMW M Driving Experience many years ago, and it was definitely an intensive day both mentally and physically! - AT
This is a fun trip to Switzerland and Austria, quite a variety of experiences and shopping as well....

this is a new experience for me which is eye opening. Still, I understand it's different from driving on real roads where other cars may not have the right traction or skills. Your 911 will be fine as long as the snow is firm enough, drive safe. Thank you...

There are never problems in Lapland with the local drivers. They learn from the beginning to drive on snow and ice. Have you ever thought why the Finnish rally drivers are so good. Difficult conditions from the time they start driving is the answer. Best ...
