Ecstatic over this acquisition!
Wanted to show it off here, as well as get some confirmation on it's "correctness".
SPEC.S
1962 (?) Ref. 5513. Gilt Chapter Ring dial, "SWISS only",
with Silver Depth/Sub text, PCGs,
-Ser. No. 764,xxx
-Mvt. Cal. 1530, numbered 67465
-Case back marked 5512
-Date coded I 62
I know there is some controversy around dates/S No.s Does this seem right?
Does anyone know of an earlier numbered 5513?
Also the date stamp looks odd -more like a messy "3" than a 6 ??? Thoughts?
...and it happens to be Near Mint! (gloat!)

The serial 76x,xxx is consistent with the early 5513 Chapter ring. If that one originated somewhere on the west coast seller starting with J I may have seen it in person. The 5512 case back is fine also as it can go both ways you sometimes have a 5512 wit...

If the case reference is 5513 it seems this Sub is one of the very first 5513 pointed guards ever produced: 5512 and 5513 were on the market together for a short period. Case serial range is perfect for this type of watch, and also caseback (also if 5512 ...
Serial number, date, case back, that sounds correct to me.
Date stamp doesn't worry me. About the value, well, you just paid it, so you know. Best, Nicolas

apparently, they did not even have specific 5513 casebacks yet ;-)
