There is something in vintage Rolex
that I can't explain.
I bought a month ago a 5513 from 1988. This week I picked up during my business trip a 5513 from 1972. Both watches are with boxes and papers.
I am admiring my new "catch" unlike nothing else. The doomed glass, patinated indexes and overall simple style... I changed the bracelet to a new strap when picking up the watch.
What a joy!
But then there is a problem: I just bought a 1680 and am seriously looking for a gilt dial 5513, a nice 5512... Not good!
Best, Kari
