Up close with the new Speedmaster FOIS
I thought you might be interested in more live photos of this beautiful novelty, so here we go.
Let me put a foreword to the photos, addressing various aspects:
A quick observation is that the new Speedmaster FOIS doesn’t seem to like being captured in photos. Specifically the dial is difficult to pay justice in pictures, especially in a normal natural environment and not in a photo light box.
When you have an overcast sky or no direct light falling on the dial it appears pure black, same is true using the Loupe System with light ring. The moment the sun comes out or you expose the dial to strong enough artificial lighting the dial shows its true colors.
Some first criticism despite my affection for this watch:
Readability is fine under all light conditions, but lume is not really a strength of the timepiece.
The bracelet and clasp are designed beautifully, for a long time Blancpain addict like me the difference in heft, smoothness and detail is evident, though. The same applies to the quality of the satin brushed finish and the chronograph action. But in its league, the Speedmaster FOIS is a very fine timepiece.

Superb photography as usual dear Henrik! It shows the new FOIS in all its glory. They make me wish to get mine very soon though my local Boutique already adviced it will take some time as it always...
