Picture of the day: Lecoultre Chronograph Ref E 2644.
There are still a few vintage Jaeger ( Lecoultre ) I am hunting, maybe 5 or 6 references.
This E 2644 is one of them.
Ok, this is only a Valjoux 72 beating inside it, but what a case and wha a dial!
Abel showed me his. That was my first encounter in the real life with this chronogaph I only saw on pictures, before.
Since then, I know I will have no rest before finding it.

Or consider it a hybrid of the internal-tachymeter 6238 with a blue vignette, and it's almost a perfect splice. The look may be making a comeback in at least one sense. Blue - in all forms - seemed to be a dominant theme at this year's trade shows. I know...

Beautiful blue tone and hue
The hands are very unique too. Not very common in any era as far as I can tell with those square batons, but it suits the watch and I like it
