Last autumn I was contacted by Jaeger-LeCoultre and asked if I could have a meeting with one of their Official Ambassador due to my interest in the brand...
I thought Official Ambassador of the brand, actor, red carpet...
Well, that is very very far from my life and reality but I said sure, always good to meet a friend of the brand.
So one day last autumn we meet for a drink which got extended to dinner and a great evening with very pleasant and interesting talk about watches in general and JLC watches in particular!
Imagine my surprise when this gentleman pulls out a LeCoultre Chronograph E 2644!
This is a watch you don't see every day!
I know a couple of lucky owners of this reference here in the forum but it's not a very common one for sure.
Since then we kept in touch and hopefully we will meet soon again to discuss watches further!
Love this community which brings us together around one common interest - watches.
People we would never meet in our daily life, but through this place we do due to these small ticking things!

In general I am not very much into chronographs and JLC chronographs even less...

These older versions have a charm and lighthearted elegance that is not quite matched in today’s more serious looking watches. Vintage homages are everywhere, but the spirit of the times is hard to recapture.
