Parmigiani Toric Chronorgraph ref PF006783 c. early 2000s
I'm happy to introduce my most recent acquisition, the first generation Toric Chronograph in platinum with El Primero movement. This particular watch with gorgeous light blue dial and black subdials dates from the early 2000s when the brand was still in its first decade. I am thrilled to join the Toric Chronograph club here on WPS, a club that includes Chicolini and mrds. If there are more of you please share your wonderful watch in this thread.
So without further preliminaries, on this Toric Tuesday, here is my first generation Toric Chronograph.

Yes, the dial is beautiful but even better in my eyes is the jaw-droppingly spectacular case. The profile is a visual feast with the trademark double stepped and knurled bezel and sublime curved mid-case.

Before focusing on the movement, note that Michel Parmigiani repeats the double stepped and knurled motif opn the backside. That is a costly detail that is solely for the appreciation of the wearer and not something that will ever be seen by casual passersby. It's "private luxury" taken to the nth degree, which appeals very much to my watch collecting tastes.

Of course, the
El Primero movement is finely finished to PF standards with the rotor guilloche matching that of the dial.
A Parmigiani pin buckle on A Collected Man blue strap completes the ensemble.
Hope you all enjoy the pics and have a wonderful Toric Tuesday.
