I believe the date location is unique to Parmigiani and this specific model. Other brands locate the date in the upper right quadrant of the dial in a "longitudinal orientation" but this is the only date I can think of off the top of my head that is placed in a radial orientation between 1 and 2.

Exactly why I love this brand as well. The private luxury ethos is very much my flavor. Parmigiani does it differently than everyone else. As Guido says, it takes a lot of courage to not follow the trends.
This watch has it all and is a major addition to your Toric collection.
