Here are the live photo report of the novelties which just landed in Tokyo -
most have been reported, posted, discussed over and over again, but
please bear with me
Here is the Part 1 of the
report. Part 2 will be the dinner to be held this weekend, but
I just wanted to post the live pics as quick as possible. I
will post the Part 2 in a few days.
Lange
Boutique Tokyo: full of novelties and
expecting fans and the press.

1. Fist up: 1815 Rattrapante
Perpetual Calendar PG

14.7mm
thick - you may need to alter your shirts, unless you already have
Double Split

Beautiful as expected from
Lange.

New
design - a bit of step between the bezel and the
side.

I could wear
it - no complaint

Without big date, I mean, the date is
not Big Date - something different. May not be very Lange, though.
Is it good or? Difficult question. It will take us a long time to find the
answer.

2. Although not a
novelty, Tourbograph came on the tour,
too.

3. Again, not this year's novelty, Lange 1
Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon (correct sequence?).

Same diameter...

A bit different
thickness....

4. 1815 U/D

Not bad -
sizewise...

72 hours power reserve is a huge
improvement.

And the best function of all - the second hand stops at
ZERO when the main spring wound down to the
end: Exactly the same function as the original PLM
and Tourbograph (don't know about the later PLMs...). It may be very nothing for
some, but to me, it is a
great addition to this entry model. Would love all my Langes to
have such function. Way
cool.

The same new design as the Rattrapante
- a step between the bezel and the
side.

Comparison with my original 1815 U/D PT. Pity
that Lange doesn't give blue hands to PT case these
days.

I am still happy with the original
one, BUT I COULD use the new model,
too!

5. Grand Lange
1s

Lumen - word on the street is the all 200 LE have been spoken
for.....

...and the new WG Grand Lange 1 with Black
dial.

Cool. I wish my wrist were a bit
larger....

6. Boutique only RL WG with Blue Hands
model.

There is no "No. xxx". This
is REGULAR PRODUCTION MODEL. Just that available only at the boutiques (see below).

Let me CORRECT my earlier report: This IS LIMITED EDITION, as in it is available only at the boutiques, BUT NOT IN
QUANTITY. I confirmed with the
boutique staff. Again, limited availability only via boutique, but not limited
quantity.

Beautiful... I LOVE blued hands.... Who doesn't?

And the number at the index is in blue,
too....

7. Zeitwerk
Handwerkskunst (LE of 30) - NOT part of the novelty tour...

The back side is also very different -
bridges, engraving on the balance cock and bridge, barrel cover,
etc....

Ah, hand work.... must take hours and
hours....

Even the letters on the back are hand
engraved.

See the relief pattern - not engraved
out...

Black-polished
parts.

Lots of
people flock around the novelties....

And here are the special novelties! Each had
different flavor.... Wow,
delicious!
Always amazed at the "attention to detail" spirit of Lange Japan

And lastly but not the least..... comparison between the new and the old
