That was fun. You know, I initially placed an order for the Lumen, but I cancelled it after seeing more and more photos. I just can't live with those weird green fat numerals. I think I reacted primarily to how POTENTIALLY collectible it will be, more tha... 

the no-big-date, I like the rattrapante too, I don't like the lumes figures etc ... You are a man of taste

A watch that stops point at 0 when run down can not be true. It must be a coincident, an accident or a one off. O.K. as a Lange fan I COULD say Lange can do this with a freshly oiled one but still: with all the possible factors for inaccuracy that we all ... 

... well, Count, I have seen more than a few original PLMs do it in front of my eyes and not all are well maintained, in fact a few of which was on their way to Germany for servicing.... Very well made mechanism and my jaw dropped when I saw it with my ow... 

Very interesting that you share and mention this little detail. As a PLM is a work of art and maths, but at the same time a play with accuracy AND inaccuracy (an inaccurate main spring actually), I was indeed wondering if that, the stop at point 0, can be...

I'm really looking forward to see them in Paris in May. Your pictures helped it a lot. I must say I really like this Rattrapante, even if it will certainly be heavy and uncomfy on my wrist. I'm curious to see whether or not I will like these 3 blued hands... 

... YMMV. I like the all blue hands RL very much. Wish it were PT case, and 1mm smaller :-) Could do something with the dial in the future.... Ken

And the wonderful pictures to sample what was there to feast my eyes on. Very informative and getting me seriously considering the all blue hands RL as well. Will be making a trip to the boutique in Singapore when it makes it's way there soon enough to ch...

Was the Lumen a prototype or working model? When i saw it in Singapore few weeks back only the prototype.

(1) Your comparison photos between the old and new 1815 Up/Down models were GREAT to see! Ever since the new 1815 Up/Down was announced, I've been wanted to see new and old side-by-side. I also appreciate your mentioning that the second hand on the new Up...

I can't say that I love the new split-second chrono, I find it too thick and not particularly elegant. The case profile of the side looks off, the buttons are too big, and overall it just doesn't look quite right. Those chocolates look especially interest...

... even though I am not a fan of Zeitwerk.... (I must admit, I DO love the "Zeitwerk room" of the factory, though :-)). Ken

thanks so much for that report! I find it odd that with so much more space on the dial of the new larger 1815 Up and Down, they still decided to cut the numeral 5 by the subdial. Otherwise, I just see perfection everywhere! Best Andreas

Fantastic pieces by Lange... The rattrapante - perpetual calendar is very beautiful... It's nice that they try something new without the big date... I really love the dial layout, and the combination of rose gold case and blue hands The zeitwerk handwerks...
