Jaeger-Lecoultre Master Reveil: An affordable icon.

I found an old picture of a Master Reveil in my hard disc, which I find very appealing.

The Memovox is and has always been a superb blend of elegance, class, charm and friendly complication.

There were so many since 1950! Small, big, complicated, manual, automatic, in all materials ( steel, titanium, white / rose / yellow gold, platinum ).

If the Memovox was not the first alarm wrist Watch of the world, as the Vulcain seems to be born a few years before, JLC launched the first automatic alarm Watch in the world in 1956, with th E 853, housing the Cal 815.

So, yes, the Master Reveil is one part of this long History or Tradition, at JLC.

An icon, as the Memovox is, with the Reverso, one of the most famous Watch ever produced by JLC.

And the good news is that its less expensive expression is not necessarily the less appealing!

It had long life! It was discontinued in 2006, after 13 years of good services. [nt]

There were several, indeed. This one, with the Cal 914, a manual version ( with the Cal 918 rotor which was removed ) from 1996 to 2002: 36 mm case. Black or silver dial. Or this one, which was re introduced in the catalog in 2010, and still in productio...

I was trying to remember why this one says Réveil instead of Memovox Mine says hello. I also have a handwound version from the 50's, but currently being graced by my beloved fiancée. A wonderful Sunday, dearest Nicolas, Alexandros ...

Aaaah, I forgot, the crowns were re shaped too, on the current Memovox. ;)
