GP ref 2598 calibre 2280 blue dial special edition
Hello from a lovely chill afternoon here in my tropical garden 🌴🎄
On the wrist is my GP ref 2598 calibre 2280 blue dial special edition.
In full steel, this 38 mm diameter bi-compax central chronograph is a special one for me. Love the details… for example, the 12 and 6 being just a little bit bigger than the other applied numerals.
This special edition was never on the GP catalog so it’s for those who know. 50 pieces made, this rare bird was released in 2002 to select collectors. Condition is everything and while not babied, one can see how pristine a 20 year old watch can be if treasured.
I love the proportions and wrist presence that this piece has … not because of size, but because of dial and case design harmony.
Neo-vintage Girard-Perregaux continues to be my primary passion as there are discoveries I continue to make.
