I always wanted a perpetual calendar. It is the function that made me wanted to collect watches.
A perpetual calendar is like a mechanical computer and it fascinates me how it knows the moonphase, short/long months, leap years with different Feb days.
It took me years to find the perfect one for me and many collectors here know I have a soft spot for Langes.
Their Langematik PC has the looks of what I like in a perpetual calendar, added the beautiful micro rotor and patented Zero Reset functions etc.
I know they made them since 2001 and have many versions but I narrowed down to the Pt (310.025) or the WG (310.026).
To find a full set is very challenging and to find one that is pristine is enough to push me off the edge and finally fulfill that dream of mine.
This watch completes and fill all the voids in my watch collection and my Langes.
I am very pleased and contented now.

Some sacrifices have been made, not significantly, just the ones that I need to purge, Tag, Corum, Bvlgari Ergon etc.

Appreciate your many posts about the Langematik PC and its winder boxes here in this forum, Craig.
The winder works but the knob seems to be dislodged and not clicking to the 10 positions, but I don't really need it for now, will figure it out later. I truly enjoyed this journey and is glad to end with this piece.
I'm glad those posts were helpful. The winder is nice to look at but I never use it. :)

It’s great to get a complete set with winder. Of course the winder weighs like a dead donkey. But now that it doesn’t need to move; it’s all good. What an amazing set of 12 pieces. A lifetime achievement of one of your many collections

I was so jealous and envious you got that from the Paris listing. Yes the box and winder is heavy and some parts, leather are degrading but still works. This is so kind of you. Glad I got one like yours, just 310.025E instead. Enjoy!

1. how long have you been waiting to reach this? 2. did you always know what you "needed" in your collection, or was it trial an error? 3. how did you cope mentally until now if you were dissatisfied with your collection?

A most marvellous choice for a Perpetual!
The Lange is brilliantly crafted, and the micro rotor gets the thumbs from me over the full rotor. More importantly, it looks great on your wrist. A most worthy addition to your already impressive collection!
The 5327G like yours is a very close contender, really difficult choice but I feel the void in my heart calls for the Langematik.
Since I already have a few 240 calibers, the Lange's patented Zero Reset function and the material pushes me over the edge. Thank you, my friend.
