Auto Italia at Brooklands Museum

A fabulous day to be out at Auto Italia, one of the biggest events of the year at the historic Brooklands site, where decades ago motor racing evolved.

Today focused on Italian makes with more Ferrari's, Lamborhini's, Lancia's, Alfa's and Maserati's than one could possibly count, as well as a few non-Italian intruders that didn't seem too out of place.

How appropriate as well to see some of them take a few laps on the adjacent Mercedes World track inset on the infield of the remnants of the Brooklands banked oval.

Enjoy the photo overload...

Lamborghini's beneath Concorde...speed demons each in their own right

A few Ferrari's sneaking in under the supersonic jet...

As always, Ferrari red seems to be the preferred colour...

I love the Dino!

A lovely Alfa, but oh La Ferrari and a special guest to the rear!

Certainly not a stealthy car in bumble bee colouring...

A lovely Lambo in Orange...the trim makes her look alive...

Lamborghini's in many colours...looks like candies

Countach...an object much lusted when I was a teenager.  Who didn't have a poster with this car?

Not sure about this one...

Lovely Diablo I think...

The decaying banked oval
