At Taipei 101 today
And was happy to see so many watch boutiques ! All in 1 building! Cartier, Montblanc, Breguet, JLC, Patek, Rolex, Blancpain, Panerai, VCA, VC, etc!
The Montblanc Taipei 101 boutique is a totally new concept for Montblanc. I will do another post on the Montblanc forum - the new boutique concept looks a lot warmer than the formal black and white only theme of the current boutiques.
Some pics to share here. A watch shopper's paradise! Unfortunately it was raining heavily and the queue to the observatory center was 2 hours so I had to skip that as I was with my 3 kids.
I am nearing the end of my Taiwan vacation - from the Flying Cow Ranch to Sun Moon Lake and last 2 days at Taipei.
Happy to return back to Singapore tomorrow!

Heavy wallet
Heavy wallet with many receipts probably. Thanks for sharing your experience, Robin. We went there a few years ago and it was super windy and the line to go up was just as long.

I think you are lucky enough to have yesterday as the only raining day during your one-week visit here. You've enjoyed all the sunny days in the beautiful countryside before coming to Taipei. Raining in Taipei should not disturb city tour that much. What ...

I think the Tudor boutique is linked to the Rolex one but yes it has its dedicated boutique front. Breguet - I think that is the new font and boutique design in a few places already Cheers Robin
Did you have to fight to use the bathrooms?
Taipei 101 is definitely a nice building and a great source of national pride for the country of Taiwan. It's also an arena for people-watching and supposedly small fist-fight quarrels with the bathroom queue (some people apparently don't queue).
Thankfully I didn't see any fights :)

done some wallet damage... Went into 101 to see the most impressive pendulum in the World at the top of the building. Not in a clock of course, but the 660 ton, 18 foot diameter engineering marvel designed to offset building sway... ...

Worth the ticket price...
to go to the top of one of the tallest buildings in the World, and of course the "damper" is worth laying eyes on. Followed by lunch at Din Tai Fung in the building makes for a great day out. Dave
