I dine fairly often in NYC and I find the prices to be reasonable and in line to California. A few years ago, I once had a reasonably nice dinner - I ate just an appetizer and a main course - and when I went to go get my car out of the garage I was fuming...

I have yet to visit either Singapore or Hong Kong.... As far as casual diner lunch/dinner prices go locally, I tend to pay $25-35 most of the time. $40 and above is reserved for restaurant dining as far as I'm concerned........

But at the same time, that's how I manage to keep my overhead costs very low relatively speaking. It's the only tangible way to property ownership foreseeably at this point in time....
