A friend showed it to me and was wondering how much was original. On the surface looks like the dial, hands and insert look pretty newish. Thanks for your thoughts. Bill ...  

It has a "Stubbies" dial which is a very old form of fake dial. The Stubbies refer to the minute markers that stick out from the trapezoidal hour markers. Look at the 9 o'clock marker as an example. The movement has 565 engraved on it. Cal. 565 has a cale...

. . . like this. The idiot who put this together didn't even use a cal 552 movement. Case, dial, hands, bezel, movement - they're all worthless. Well, the movement might have a few dollars residual value for parts, but not more than that. I wouldn't pay $...
