3940 Dial
Hi guys,
I'm in the process of finalizing a purchase of a beautiful and long desired Patek 3940J. It's a 3rd or 4th series (based on who you ask, 2001 make). Most resources I read state that the "sigma Swiss sigma" mark should be in line with the minute track, but this one, and many others of the same year I see online seem to still have it bellow the minute track. I've also noticed the rose and white gold are more likely to follow this rule. There seems to be so much variation of the dial even within a series. I saw a 2000 version that's in line and obviously multiple later ones that are not. So I'm curious, does anyone know how common this variability is?
