… older dials (Mk2) have a different subbdial style (with hard edges), unlike this one. Your dial looks like Mk3 with these sub-dials and font. Just the Swiss stamp sits low like in Mk2. To me, this indicates that the criterion mentioned elsewhere, ie „Mk3 has Swiss integrated in minute marker circle“ is not so correct.

Look forward to posting. As as update, I did receive information from experts that, in fact, Patek had lots of unused older dials that they used in later model 3940's. Guess they weren't selling back then. Times sure have changed.

The dial is original and is fine for the watch. My article is a generic guide based on researches that you can use with flexibility. It is a great watch and you won't be wrong with it. Looking forward to see it on your wrist!
