It is a new case, with all the stamps.
The original case is not polished, check amanico's picture.
The case is a numbered series and the one pictured is 015/150
Nico’s picture shows the same polished surface it’s just less visible. I can’t follow the story here but whatever the “case” enjoy whatever you have.

Are you keeping the original dial?
Assuming you're keeping the original dial, the crown location will be at 12 o'clock. Short, wide lugs would work, similar to the original holder. If you look at other Chopard LUC cases from the era where these hands were the signature, you can see the lug...
