Now the pocket watch case is custom made.
I'm thinking to make a RGM 801 style case for it.
Thanks to the high gold prices, I can pick up fun movements for a much better price.

The case is a numbered series and the one pictured is 015/150
Nico’s picture shows the same polished surface it’s just less visible. I can’t follow the story here but whatever the “case” enjoy whatever you have.

I have a Seiko pocket watch with a custom see through caseback, nowhere near as nice but I like to put it on my desk movement side up and just look at it while working.

Are you keeping the original dial?
Assuming you're keeping the original dial, the crown location will be at 12 o'clock. Short, wide lugs would work, similar to the original holder. If you look at other Chopard LUC cases from the era where these hands were the signature, you can see the lug...
