It is really "empowering" collectors (as per mission statement of the forum) to have variants presented of a model so well documented by an insider. Though, I had to find out that "in metal" the watches can make a completely different impression than on photos. When I went to the Chopard Boutique in Geneva to see this world timer, I was most interested in the steel version. I liked the orange accents making the visuals a bit youthful, and the legibility. The very helpful boutique manageress offered to organize within an hour a platinum version from the factory to show the other "white metal" version. And what revelation it was, like a completely different watch. The photos could never communicate the subtle play of the dial's colours.
