Another one of our members from Southern California has a similar Visconti fountain pen in titanium. Having been to Florence myself, I do like Visconti pens - although I don't think I own one! Might have to rectify that! I also see you have a lovely Sailo...
That's what sold me. My crummy photo doesn't show it, but there is a subtle sunburst from the middle in addition to the grid pattern. It sounds busy but really works well.
