Thank you. I’ve wondered the same thing. I’ve wondered about at Tank LC, but I should probably sell something else if I’m making that move.
It seems to me (and a lot of people here know much more than I) is that the non guilloche seems at least as historically correct, and part of me thinks it compliments the modernist design of the Tank more effectively. Although the LC dial is gorgeous.

Personally I think after owning a Tank that the question should actually be owning a Tank with a guilloche dial.....

Really I wouldn't be all that concerned with the historical aspect as I would with the actual beauty of the watch.
And if a person has the financial resources to buy a gold Solo or a gold LC, I'd definitely take the LC. I'd obviously visit Cartier with those things in mind and try them on. Good luck.
