1983 Classique. This comes from the time when Breguet was owned by Chaumet; under the leadership of François Bodet. Keeping excellent time during its first 24 minutes of life in New Jersey. I’ll post a wrist shot when I get a strap for it. ...

So very nice and immediately identifiable as a Breguet.

The brand has done so well in maintaining its brand aesthetic in its Classique line for decades while still delivering fresh designs. Congrats on receiving it, and with box and papers too, a rarity for a Breguet piece of that vintage. Cheers, John

Thank you, John.

Yes, other than size it could be something from the present collection. Swatch was smart to keep the design cues that Chaumet used.

Thanks, Christian.

I'm hoping to get the strap it was on from the jeweler. It's a beauty. But I'll post soon enough. I hope.

Very very nice.

We should chat, you will be able to educate me a little as I’ve been looking at similar stuff a lot recently. I’ve taken a shine to Nicolas‘ favourite, the day date. But also a few others in smaller cases have caught my attention.

Be glad to.

Nico and Duffy (up above) know more about Breguet than I do but I guess I know a fair amount. Which day/date are you referring to? 3337 or 3137?

It’s the subject of a separate post.

It was damaged by an inept “watchmaker”. I’m waiting to get it back from my regular watchmaker. Should be in another week or so.
