Breguet

I must admit that lately I am obsessing with Breguet. i have been reading both new and years old posts here, and in particular I have been looking at many images of many Breguet tourbillons (the La Tradition Fusee Tourbillon literally made me drool once) ...  

I had this one... I still wonder why I sold it: I also had a superb White Gold Chrono Perpetual Calendar which came with a blue dial, which I loved a lot till the hands had the strange habit to go for holidays in the dial. At the third time it happened to...  

Nicolas, Your enamel piece was beautiful. It has the features which is shared by the current two production pieces. I don't like the date on the smaller piece but like the sweep seconds and smaller size and open back. But I like the Arabic painting style ... 

Was released under subscription, in a number of 225 pieces. Two case back came: A Solid one in platinum, and a see through one. Best, Nicolas

The platinum and vintage type XXs are exquisite. I'm curious to hear more about your dissatisfaction with the movements? What in particular is lacking in appeal (if you can put your finger on it?) I marvel at so many of them... Is the 3037 a solid casebac... 

Of refinement than the other parts of the watch. Not that they are bad, they could be better decorated and finished, IMO, and, of course, in general, as the movement in the Tradition looks coherent with the rest of the watch, IMO once again. Let's say tha...

That's a beautiful watch Jed. There's something "olde worlde" about the classical Breguet designs. They're not to everyone's taste but I enjoy them. My 5197. Regards, Richard....

Andrew, we're in complete agreement as to these numbers, and of course as to the 7027. Thanks, by, the way, for your post and for all the pictures. If I were in charge of product development at Breguet,I think I would create two completely distinct lines.... 

I have never felt that the modern silicon escapements fitted comfortably within the classical Breguet cases. Some of the watches, like the Pt Tradition Tourbillon, have a retro-modern feel, so I am comfortable with the newer materials. But your suggestion...
