I'm considering purchasing one of these, but struggling between the two. For the 7037, the retrograde second hand gives the front some life, the rotor is uniquely finished and of course provides self winding, and the movement fills up the case, but the dial is really small. For the 7057, the dial is bigger, but there's no rotor and there's a gap between the movemenet and the edge of the case. Are there any other pros and cons I'm missing?
It's one thing to see pictures and videos, but it's another thing to see these in person. I've worn the 7057, and it's even better in person - just a beautiful watch. But the 7037 is no longer made, so there's likely no way to compare the two side by side. If you've seen the 7037 in person, is the dial too small looks-wise and even practically for telling time? Is the bigger dial of the 7057 worth its cons?
To me, the watches in the Tradition line are just some of the best-looking, best-made, and best bang-for-the-buck dress watches.
