Your tank is a work of art.
I'd had an alloy tank made for a Norton Commando (after numerous futile attempts at repairing the original). Beautiful workmanship from a true craftsman - but with an 18 month waiting list I opted to go for a steel replacement tank on my 73 V7 Sport. Was really impressed that it was even possible to source one - coincidentally that also came from Germany.
The old Guzzis are a fun ride with their own distinct personality. I envy you being able to ride them on twisty European roads.

Do you ever have reliability problems with them? I would love to get another older bike, my last was a 996, but man, it was heartbreakingly unreliable in the hot HK humid summers!!

You will find out that Moto Guzzi\'s, although seen by some as exotic are very reliable and low maintenance because a) the engine has been developed for ages and is bullet proof and b) the transmission type is the best you can have being without any chain...
