Dry sump lubrication really does lower the engine placement by a couple inches! That's a really nice cross section of a car's front axle.

Those things are glorious. Complete aerodynamic fantasies (terrible aerodynamics, but wondrous construction) from when Bertone was clueless about aero, but at the height of its skills. The BAT 11 is a head-shaker, though. Pointless, unpowered and a undese...

My friend had a Bertone X1/9 with a 1500cc 85hp engine .... in the morning while driving to school we often encountered each-other ... no need to say the ride became pretty spectacular ... two 18-19 year old rookies trying to beat each-other ... . This X1...  

i had an X19 when i was about 19 Filip. a sad and bad mistake. basically a rusty box with 2 seats in it :) i thought it was a cheap version of the TR7. the later coupe was much much better. if the worst in my life happens i'll be buying a 2 seater coupe o...

Hi Graham, i hope you're doing well despite all the misery .. :-( ... So you had an X1/9 in 1973, i can imagine it being a heap of rust and a bad engine ... My friend got his X1/9 in 1987 which had a Lancia 1500 cc engine. He managed about 100,000 km in 7...  

i think you mean 1983! how old do i look :) it lasted about 5 months before it got traded for a ford Capri 1.6S in white with double black pin stripes. even if the worst happens all is not lost, i'm searching flats within 20 miles of my kids and they are ... 

LOL ... 1983 indeed ... I remember those X1/9 didnt sell good ... but i liked it a lot. About the flat ... are you sure ? I think you'll miss the forest and peace ... can you buy a small house on/near the countryside easily in the UK ? Or ... is that too ...

IMO, The Quail Lodge and Concorso Italiano are very different in attendees and atmosphere. I do have to say that the food was excellent especially since they had to cater for so many people. -MW

As the owner of a Maserati for the last 7 years and one I do track, I wish I could have been there....alas, South Carolina is a long way from California!!!
