A bunch of people are asking for a cheaper Tesla. Some people ask me about why Tesla isn't prioritizing a cheaper car over dinner. And I ask them why do they think that'll help Tesla's business? They respond that it'll increase volumes. And I remind them, small cars have thin profit margins. Tesla probably isn't looking at that as a priority since they probably think the Chinese car companies have got that market cornered. So, it's possible, that a lot of retail investors are demanding Tesla make a product that they have a relatively superficial knowledge about.

BMWs definitely don't drive quite as sportily as they used to, but the reliability has gone up significantly. My 545i was a great balance of sporty competence and quiet comfort. It took a month or two to get used to it - I came from a fairly sporty and smaller car, but I really liked that 545i - it did have a lot of mechanical problems though. The last 5 series sedan I drove (a rental), a 2021, drove well, very well, but was definitely more on the comfort side than the sporty side. Really drove like a smaller Rolls Royce Wraith in some ways; that's pretty high praise. But yes, it's lost its sporty edge.
