Not really a big fan of these big things, but ...

... when you need it for your job (in your case) it makes a lot of sense.
Where I live we see more and more 'big' pick-up truck but I guess not even half the people driving it, need it for it's capacities.
If there's a V8 under the hood I can still understand you want it for the smoothness and the rumble ... but most have V6 and even L4 diesel engines .... .
I love light cars and will stick to them as long as possible.
From left to right ..
1460 kg
1230 kg
1080 kg
780 kg
The 1900 kg van can haul up to 1000 kg in the back which is plenty enough for me. This one has a 2 liter diesel with 145 hp and 350 Nm of torque, easily (safely) tuneable to over 200 hp and 450 Nm but the way I drive it like a grandpa .... I'll leave it as it is
.
Fuel (diesel) consumption is ridiculously low as you might expect.
Twice a year I have to haul 1000 kilos of steel plates for a relatively short distance, otherwise the maximum is what you see in this pic ... should be around 400 kilos.
