I can't see a future for Lotus, speaking as a 4 time, 40-years owner
Even I could never convince myself to buy an Esprit Turbo or V8.
I see Lotus as unreliable (generally), little dealer support from the few dealers that exist in the US, very few clubs or aftermarket support, very high prices for parts, more or less dedicated to looking sexy and handling well.

Having said that, I can maintain my Lotuses as long as I have but they've run out of steam just like I have. And where do I take it when I can't or won't work on it?
Does it have resale value? Maybe, probably nothing more than petty cash. It's been fun though, but that doesn't go far in this day of low-maintenance, low-worry motoring.
Can I imagine a future for a 6000 lb electric SUV with a Lotus badge? I think not.
Convince me I'm wrong...
